About me
Nice to meet you! I'm Hana, a Korean language teacher certified by the Korean government.
I'm from Seoul, South Korea, and I've been teaching Korean to students around the world, both online and in person, for over 10 years. In my courses, we try to speak Korean from the very first class, and we use other languages as support when necessary.
I lived in Hamburg, Germany, for a couple of years, where I studied German language and literature at the University of Hamburg. I then moved to Mexico, where I earned a BA in Translation and Interpreting at ISIT. Later, in Seoul, I also studied a BA in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language at the National Institute of Education in Korea. I am fluent in Spanish, English, and German.

I have worked as a freelance translator and interpreter, and I also worked at the Mexican Embassy in Korea for several years.
The classes I teach are:
✔ General Korean (from level 0 to advanced)
In this course, we study with a textbook (I'll share it in PDF format with you). We'll be speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I'll also be using materials from a variety of sources and media.
It is a general course that follows the guidelines established by the National Institute of Korean Language, which awards certificates of progress in Korean language proficiency to foreigners.
✔ Free conversation (for intermediate to advanced level)
In this course, we will discuss topics of interest to you or current national and international events.
Here we focus a lot on language production and fluency while correcting errors.
We will speak 100% in Korean and only when necessary I will explain details in Spanish or English.
✔ Korean Grammar (from level 0 to advanced)
In this course, we'll focus entirely on Korean grammar. In each class, we'll cover a new grammar topic.
✔ TOPIK exam (from level A2)
This course is designed to prepare for the TOPIK 1 and 2 exams. It focuses on preparing exercises similar to those presented on the exam, reviewing the vocabulary and grammar required for the requested level, and practicing writing exercises for the exam.
Classes vary according to the level of interest.
I truly enjoy teaching both the Korean language and its culture. I also love seeing each student's progress and achievements. Korean is easy to learn, but like other languages, it has its obstacles and challenges for many people. I fully understand each student's struggles and goals because I've learned several languages throughout my life.
I would like to help you learn Korean and will do my best to help you achieve your language goals.
